Listen up. As sites go, SD is a pretty relaxed place. We do not encourage, nor do we condone drama of any kind. We expect that our chatters/roleplayers are here for exactly that purpose; Not to create problems or issues within any given room.

That said, no one is above the rules; the site AuP or site rules. NO ONE. Not the admins, not anyone. Nor are we (the admins) above the rules individual room owners post for their rooms.

Each room is run independently of  the admins of this site. As long as they adhere to the AuP and site rules; NO admin will interfere with their room rules. If a room owner points out a rule infraction to you, then they are to be taken at their word. It is their room, not the site's.

So let's play nice, humm? Save the drama for your mama and be a grown up while you're here. As the saying goes; you break it, you bought it, capice?

Sanguinem Draconis  admins do not play fast and loose with our site rules or the AuP (mostly because I'm a very lazy site owner). They are not edited to fit any situation that happens to arise to suit our purpose. Therefore, since the same ones have been in place (pretty basically) since we went online; claiming ignorance of the "law" will not be an acceptable excuse.

Welcome to Pandora, this room is dedicated to the motion picture "Avatar" by James Cameron. Avatar is a 2009 science fiction film written and directed by James Cameron, starring Sam Worthington, Zoë Saldaña, Stephen Lang, Michelle Rodriguez and Sigourney Weaver. It was made by Lightstorm Entertainment and released by 20th Century Fox on December 18, 2009. The film is set in the year 2154 on Pandora, a fictional Earth-like moon in a distant planetary system. Humans are engaged in mining Pandora's reserves of a precious mineral, while the Na'vi — the sapient and sentient race of humanoids indigenous to the moon — resist the colonists' expansion, which threatens the continued existence of the Na'vi and the Pandoran ecosystem. The film's title refers to the remotely controlled, genetically engineered human-Na'vi bodies used by the film's human characters to interact with the natives. (Avatar Wiki)

Our story picks up months before the events of the movie. RDA is of course already mining Pandora for the Unobtanium and Dr. Grace Augustine's school is still active teaching the Na'vi how to speak English. It's a time of unrest between RDA and their "hired" mercenary's and the Na'vi as Na'vi continue to attack the bulldozers pushing through the Pandora landscape. Choose a side whether it be human within the RDA as scientist's or soldiers or join the Na'vi or even be an Avatar driver. Choose your role in the outcome of Pandora.

Saturday night I plan on doing a IC Life Day celebration since Life Day
is SW Christmas. IC wise it'll be hosed at the resort city of Doaba
Guerfel http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Nomad%27s_Retreat in the Nomad
Mountains on Corellia. Just like Christmas Life Day has caroling,
trimming of trees and such. Say the city's dec...orated and maybe the main
party could be at a hotel in the city.
Plan on trying to start it Saturday at 7pm EST.

Then the week after it could be New Years Fete week for a New Years
party.

Life Day is basically like the Star Wars version of Christmas. With
trimming of trees, decorations, caroling and such. Gift giving...and
New  Years Fete Week is five days at the beginning of the new year
celebrating the new year like our New Years.

I want to start the party on Saturday since people will be more or less
busy on the actual Christmas Day and have a week long event when people
can get into the room until New Years. Then on New Years we have a big
IC party as well.

Babylon is a multi-genre freeform writing environment for the purpose of creative expression and/or roleplay. In order to facilitate the preferred atmosphere there are few mods and few rules, however common sense is highly appreciated; this room is 18+ and therefore by entering we assume you're mature enough to either leave your issues at the door or make use of ignore. In addition, while ooc banter is fine, significant roleplay takes precedence.

Not there yet kids. A couple of problems popped up and until we are assured that the move will be glitch free, we'll stay put. It will be soon though and we'll keep you updated on our progress.

I am pleased to inform you of a new feature on S.D. 

There is now a Puppet Image Preview of the currently saved image URL in your Puppet modification  screen.  To see this in action select a puppet that you currently have a image saved and go to edit and you will be able to see the image as a thumb nail just below the saved URL.

There will be a few other new features to come in the next little while.

Mystic Forest is a land blessed by its people's Goddess, the Lady Mystica, who walks among mortals from time to time in the form of
her Children, the Mystic Elves.

Due to a unexpected outage our database is currently down.  I am working on getting it up and running once again.  

It's only the hottest new storyline to come out of the Athenaeum since the last hot new storyline.

Imagine a city, run by corrupted officials and bought-off police, where streets have fallen into disrepair and whole sections of the city are no longer used by either businesses or by anyone who lives there. A city truly run by crews of drivers in cars that have been turned into rolling death machines, mounted with automatic weapons and explosives, oil slicks and flash grenades, and reinforced with armor plating.

The crews run high-stakes races for prizes ranging from valuable car parts and cash to territory, for those drivers good enough to take it. The street organizers run the biggest crews and have their own turf and territory inside the city, while the racers may or may not belong to a crew at all. The police are bought and paid for by the drivers, so that a blind eye is turned to their activities, as well as those of the arms dealers who run the guns into the city for them.

That... is Drive.

Everyone who would like to come creates a new OOC handle as a "costume". People who have not registered on the site in awhile, are encouraged to create new logins to add to the mix.

Through the course of chatting during the party, everyone will make a list of who they think each handle belongs to. The day after, the lists will be compared and whoever has the most right, wins! The prize is webspace, and bragging rights that you know everyone behind the "disguise"

Addendum

Now that I have had the proper amount of caffine (is there any such thing?) and a hot shower; I want to clear up some things:

1) No one,  NO ONE was banned from SD. If you think you have been or someone has speculated that you have been, they are wrong. If you've tried logging in and found your account gone, well, that is because the system removes accounts if they have not been logged into for 90 days. It's built into the ER code and we have not gone though the trouble of changing it. No, you were NOT banned.

2) Most of the realms no longer on the public list have been moved to hybrid. Not all, but most. Some for sentimental reasons...others *shrug* because they were not.

3) SD has been in the past, and continues to be, based on community. Sometimes communities have problems and fall apart. There were lots of problems a few months ago, some technical, some personal. The strength of a community depends upon the people that form it. All of you have always been the heart and soul of SD.

I have been told that many of those problems can be laid at my feet. And that is nothing but harsh truth. I apologize to you all for letting you down. I claim them and own them and can only say I'm sorry for making mistakes. I am, after all, only human (sadly).

That I could have, and should have, risen above the bullshit and acted accordingly, is without question. Again, I can only offer you all my sincere apologies.

4) Don't let the past dictate the future. If you want to come home (SD will always be your homes no matter where you go)...Then do so. I assure you again, no hard feelings, no questions, no attitude (*grins* what attitude?). I'm not begging, I'm offering.

5) Those of you who have, and have had my phone number. Feel free to call me if you wish to discuss things.

6) To those of you who have already found your way home. Have a cookie.
